The EEA Grants Reconciliation and Gender Equality Program, managed by the CIG, promotes, on June 16, between 11:00 and 13:00, the Workshop “What is harassment? And sexual harassment? How to prevent and handle it?”.

In this free online session, addressed to employers, professionals responsible for health and safety at work, social partners and workers, it will be explained:

  • What is harassment and sexual harassment;

  • The responsibility of employers;

  • How to prevent harassment and sexual harassment;

  • How to handle complaints of harassment.

This workshop is held as part of the bilateral initiative "Combating the levels of harassment and sexual harassment in the workplace" which results from the partnership between Norway, through the LDO - Norwegian Equality and Anti-discrimination Ombud, and Portugal, through the CIG, ACT, CITE and AHRESP. It is based on the Guide to Preventing and Dealing with Sexual Harassment, created by the LDO and the Norwegian Labor Inspection Authority, aimed at the hotel and catering industry and already applied by other sectors of activity in that country.

"In July 2020, Elisabeth Moreno was appointed Minister Delegate for Gender Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities in France. She is a relative newcomer to politics having spent most of her professional life rising through the social ranks to become a powerful business leader. Her humble beginnings as the daughter of immigrants from Cape Verde and her battle to get where she is today give her a true understanding of what it will take to achieve real equality for all. She gives Euronews some insight into France's fight against discrimination, equality in the workforce, how the pandemic has affected women and LGBT+ rights in Europe."- euronews
